The house was everything we had hoped for and more….it felt like we were staying in someone’s home rather than a holiday house. It’s in a wonderful position on a quiet road, yet only a few minutes walk from the town centre.
Ceret is beautiful, lovely shops and plenty of restaurants, we would recommend Al Catala just off the main street.
There’s plenty to do in the area, Collioure and Villefranche are both worth a visit as of course is Carcassone. As for beaches you’re spoilt for choice, we preferred the North beach at Argeles sur Mer, there are no facilities but importantly for us it was quiet even in the middle of August.
Susan has been extremely helpful, and we would happily return to the house again.

A lovely house with a spacious lounge, the shutters were good for keeping the kids asleep. The boulangerie down the road was amazing and there was easy access to shops and restaurants. Also a good location for day trips – Collioure and Castelnou among others. The owner was very friendly and helpful, answering queries, and dealing with contracts and deposits in a way that made you feel she wanted you to have a good holiday. I would recommend it to a friend

We found the house even better than we had expected from the photos – very spacious and attractive, well equipped and comfortable. We loved having the two terraces.

Another bonus is the quiet location: a few minutes’ walk from the central shops and restaurants yet walking in the other direction up the narrow road you can be above the town with good views, also in minutes.

Ceret is a charming little town with a remarkable modern art musuem and nice cafes and restaurants. Lots of great places in the Pyrenees to visit by car, though the buses are also good – and unusually cheap. The drive down the coast road into Spain is unmissable.
